2024 Hot Chocolate Run - Minneapolis
We're back for another Hot Chocolate season! Join the sweetest movement and support thousands of participants as they take on their distance while you enjoy some sweet treats and give back to your local community.
Expo: Friday, April 12, 2024

Join the fun before the run! As an Expo volunteer, you'll be integral to making sure all participants get their bib, goodie bag and more before race day! Our Expos are the day before our runs, making this a great opportunity for all.

The Expo is broken up into various areas, including bib assignment, Chocolate Experience, goodie bags, legacy, merchandise store and more. Volunteer placement will be assigned upon check-in at your shift.

Race Day: Saturday, April 13, 2024 5:30am-11am (Times Approximate)
From serving chocolate to sorting bags, there is an option for everyone!
As a bike marshal, you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course. Before the run you will meet with our start line manager for last minute instructions – if time permits you are welcome to do a final course ride.
As an aid station volunteer you will be passing out water & sports drink on the course to race participants.
Feel the energy out on the course! Volunteers will be stationed at various locations along the course to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Cheering and enthusiasm are strongly encouraged to motivate participants and increase the fun!

*Individuals should be at least 18 years old.*
Volunteers in this area will be working in the main chocolate tent, distributing the chocolate fondue and hot chocolate.

PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers are required to have their hair tied back or covered by a hat - if not, hair nets will be provided on site!
As a volunteer at the merchandise tent, you will be helping run the merchandise tent alongside our staff, and assisting customers who purchase Hot Chocolate gear.
As a volunteer at Gear Check, you will be assisting with collecting, organizing, and returning gear to Race participants before and after the run.
The volunteers in this area will be assigned to a corral helping to organize race participants. Once the corrals open you will be directing participants into their corral, or helping to keep corrals separate and organized.
Celebrate and congratulate thousands of runners as they cross the Finish Line of America's Sweetest Run! Volunteers will distribute a variety of different items including finisher medals, sports drinks, and water in the runner refreshment area.
