Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 285,000 wishes to children in the U.S. and its territories; more than 15,300 in 2016 alone.
When Make-A-Wish volunteers first entered Breanna’s life, she was running around excitedly and doing cartwheels around her house. But things weren’t always so exciting for Breanna. Her adventurous spirit was confined to a hospital bed for many months while she endured a liver transplant and its recovery process.
When she heard that she was eligible for a wish, she wanted something that would take her places… a vehicle as vibrant as her personality! On Breanna’s wish day, she was presented with a custom pink go-cart and was in her element as she slipped into the driver’s seat.
Alongside the actual go-cart, Breanna was also given custom gear. With her pink helmet, driving gloves and personalized jacket in tow, Breanna was ready to ride. Nothing will hold her back anymore… full-speed ahead!
